This is the front cover of the book Evenings at Home in Words of One Syllable by Lucy Aikin. It is a red cloth bound book with a good bit of wear. There is blind embossing on the book that forms a square in the middle of the cover. The title of the book is stamped with gold leaf and includes images of a young woman seemingly daydreaming and a woman reading to a child. Both images are in circles. Surrounding the text are leaves and birds. A cat is standing on its hind legs trying to swat leaves that are falling.
