Resource of the Month - RealCare™ Infant Simulators

News item published on: 2022-04-28 08:08:25

Each month, University Libraries highlights resources from its collections. May’s featured items are RealCare™ infant simulators.

Infant simulators are innovative learning tools that provide hands-on experience for those studying subject areas such as child development, social work, nursing, and public health. We provide a range of anatomically correct infant simulators including the drug-affected baby, the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome baby, the Down Syndrome baby, the preemie baby, and the shaken baby, an electronic simulator which emits realistic cries and illuminates to show how an infant’s brain reacts to shaking. Each life-like baby comes in a storage case and includes cloth diapers, batteries, and curriculum materials.
