Join us Thursday, December 17 for the de Grummond Book Group. Each month we meet to discuss influential works of children's and young adult literature. We will be reading Gregory Maguire’s book Egg and Spoon. School Library Journal gave the book a starred review, saying it serves as “... A beautiful reminder that fairy tales are at their best when they illuminate the precarious balance between lighthearted childhood and the darkness and danger of adulthood."
The de Grummond Book Group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the de Grummond Exhibit Room on the second floor of Cook Library (between the Library Administration office and the School of Library and Information Science). Adults interested in reading and discussing children’s literature are welcome.
