Form of Material:

Materials in this collection pertain primarily to the donor's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Private First Class Elton Cartis Tucker, of Scott County, Mississippi, served with the Fifth Field Artillery Battalion, First Infantry Division, and saw action in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was honorably discharged at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, on December 4, 1945. After his discharge, PFC Tucker received notice that he had been promoted to Corporal.
