The Union Fraternal Association was established in Aberdeen, Mississippi, in 1908 and is mentioned in only a few registers of fraternal societies from the time period.

Scope and Content Note
The collection includes a letter, dated August 17, 1910, from Union Fraternal Association President J. R. Young to Vernon Brown in Sherman, Texas, requesting payment of dues or what he calls “monthly insurance payments.”  Also included is the letter’s envelope, featuring a Native American motif with the phrases “Union Fraternal Association” and “Aberdeen, - - Mississippi”
underneath.
