Cook Library, located on the Hattiesburg campus, contains the principal collections of books, periodicals, microforms, government documents, and other materials which directly support the research and instructional programs of The University of Southern Mississippi at all levels.
McCain Library and Archives is home to the University Libraries Special Collections Department. This includes one of the leading children's literature collections in the United States, the de Grummond Collection.
The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases containing different types of high-quality, independent evidence for healthcare decision-making such as systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical trials, and protocols. It is considered by many to be the gold standard in evidence-based health care.
