Storming the Beaches: Hurricanes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Exhibit
Storming the Beaches: Hurricanes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, an exhibit by Archives Specialist Yvonne Arnold, is currently on display in the William D. McCain Library and Archives, Room 305. The exhibit contains photographs, books, and memorabilia from several Gulf Coast hurricanes between 1947 and 2005. While most of the items relate to Hurricane Camille (August 1969) and Hurricane Katrina (August 29, 2005), there is also a series of photographs from a 1947 storm, and two images from Hurricane Betsy in 1965. The display will be in place for the remainder of the Fall Semester. McCain Library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
