Exhibit – Opening Reception for Reveal Art Exhibit

News item published on: 2013-01-18 11:06:09

Reveal showcases works by local women artists who formed a group in the spring of 2010 to support each other’s art-making and encourage one another in a region whose art scene is still growing – a region to which they hope to contribute. In Reveal, nine group members display a range of media and expression – sculpture, drawing, photography, painting and collage. Reveal, revel, revelation – all these words apply to the show.

The exhibit features works from Claudia Cartee, Barbara-Ann Carver-Hunt, Rebekah Stark Johnson, Miranda Grieder, Heidi Pitre, Betty Press, Martina Sciolino, Stephanie Scull-DeArmey and Susan Crawford Stevens.

The exhibit will remain on display in the Cook Library Learning Commons Gallery until February 15, 2013. An opening for the exhibit will be held in the gallery on Friday, January 25, from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
