University Libraries Now Scheduling Instruction Sessions for the Fall Semester
University Libraries is scheduling instruction sessions for the fall semester. Sessions will help students learn how to effectively navigate the Libraries' website and utilize library resources to find appropriate sources.
Library instruction can be scheduled to occur in a library classroom, in your regular classroom or online using the University's learning management system. By scheduling an instruction session, your students will receive accurate and up-to-date information about library resources and services. Additionally, a class visit to the library can help alleviate any anxiety students may feel about using the library. The librarian assigned to teach your class can work with you to design a lesson tailored to meet the needs of a specific assignment or can simply provide a generalized introduction to library resources and services.
To invite a librarian to provide a guest lecture, submit the instruction request form where you will be asked to provide the day and time of your class along with two preferred dates. At least one week’s advance notice is appreciated.
University Libraries looks forward to working with you and your students in support of student success. For additional information, contact the head of public services Tisha Zelner at 601.266.6170 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
