The Gulf Coast Library has partnered with the Academic Success Center and Student Government Association on the Gulf Park Campus for Golden Basket: Thanksgiving Family Adoption. The Library will be collecting donations for a family of seven until November 15.

The Golden Basket drive is an annual event coordinated by Southern Miss students in the Bachelor’s of Social Work Club (BSWC), based on the Gulf Park campus. The BSWC partners with local county Head Start programs and public schools throughout our coastal counties to find families in need.

Non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, toiletries, winter clothing (size guides are available), and monetary gifts are appreciated. All cash donations will go toward providing necessities for the family, which includes beds and dressers for the six children. Due to allergies, please avoid items that contain cherries, coconut, pineapples, or strawberries. Donations of new or gently used beds and dressers are also appreciated.
