Each month, University Libraries highlights a resource from its collections. This month we are featuring Early English Books Online (EEBO). Early English Books Online contains, in one database, an almost comprehensive collection of all works published in the English language between the years 1473 and 1700. Originally a microfilm collection, the images have been converted to a digital format with searchable metadata and an author and periodical index for browsing. Library patrons may login from anywhere and read works by Shakespeare, royal statutes from the period, published sermons, pamphlets and tracts, almanacs, and much more.

Visit the Libraries’ website to connect to this resource online. (Off-campus users will be prompted to login using their CampusID username and password.)
