The Gulf Coast book sale will take place during the Jazz and Blues Festival held each year at Gulf Park. Books included in the sale are taken from donations and books no longer needed in the Library’s collection. Hardcover books will sell for one dollar and paperbacks and children’s books for fifty cents. Additional items, such as games, puzzles, and videos, will also be available for purchase. Those items not sold will be on sale in the library for a limited time. After that, what is will be sent to the surplus property division.

Cook Library’s items for sale include books and VHS movies that cover the spectrum in terms of subject matter. Type of books for sale include old textbooks, historical non-fiction, fiction, religious texts and romance, and represent all reading levels from children’s books to college. This sale is made possible by donations and all proceeds will go to the University Libraries to assist with operational costs.
