Support the University Libraries
The University Libraries welcomes private financial support. Such support for the Libraries is tax deductible and benefits all Southern Miss students and researchers in their academic pursuits.
The University Libraries offers several opportunities to accommodate the giving interests and needs of alumni, friends and Libraries supporters. Choose from the options below and visit the USM Foundation to make your donation.
Friends of University Library
The Friends of University Libraries is an organization providing support for the research, teaching, and public service missions of the University of Southern Mississippi Libraries.
One of the most popular gifts that academic libraries enjoy is an endowment. Since endowments provide a flow of income each year, librarians can count on the money being available for the purchase of new materials, new technology or upgrades to study space. Endowments can be given in one lump sum, completed in installments, or made as part of a planned gift. You can find out more about endowments here.
Planned Giving is the process of making a deferred charitable gift. Common types of planned gifts include wills and bequests, life insurance policy, or charitable gift annuities. To learn more about planned giving, click here.
Gifts in Kind
The Libraries welcome gifts of original materials, books, photographs, reports, maps and other items that fall within the scope of our collecting activities.
